When you return with Reshop, you choose how you get the value of your return: a refund or an instant exchange. Either way, you get it straight away, before the retailer receives your items. You then send your items back within 7 days.
The options available depend on the retailer and your return.
Option 1: Refund
Get your money back now, and choose where it goes.
| Refund method | When you'll see it |
|---|---|
| Original payment method | 1 to 5 business days, depending on your bank |
| Debit card | About 30 minutes |
| Credit card | Up to 3 business days |
| Bank account | About 1 business day |
Best for: you don't want a replacement item.
Option 2: Instant exchange
Swap for a different size, colour or item, and get your new order without waiting for your return to arrive.
- Choose what you want instead, in the retailer's returns flow.
- Your new order is placed straight away and ships on the retailer's usual timeline.
- New item costs more? Pay the difference to your payment method on file in the same step. There's no second checkout.
- New item costs less? We refund the difference to your original payment method. It may take 1 to 5 business days to show.
- Same price? There's nothing to pay.
- Some retailers also let you exchange for a different item entirely, using the value of your return as credit.
Best for: you need a different size or colour, or you want your replacement now.
If instant exchange isn't offered for your return, a standard exchange through the retailer is still available.

Why do I need a payment method on file?
Because you get your refund or new order before the retailer receives your items, we ask for a payment method on file when you start your return. Nothing is charged as long as your items are sent back on time, apart from any difference you choose to pay for a more expensive new order. If your items aren't sent back, or the retailer rejects your return, we charge your payment method on file. Learn more about charges.
